Udham Singh (December 26, 1899 - July 31, 1940) was an Indian Sikh independence activist, best known for assassinating Michael O'Dwyer in March 1940 in what has been described as an avenging of the Jallianwallabagh Massacre. Udham Singh changed his name to "Mohammad Singh Azad" and was also known as Ram Mohammed Singh Azad, symbolizing the unification of the three major religions of India: Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism. Singh is considered one of the best-known of the more extremist revolutionaries of the Indian freedom struggle; he is also sometimes referred to as Shaheed-i-Azam Sardar Udham Singh
It was indeed our pride that Param Vir Chakra Sri Yogendra Singh Yadav was kind enough to accept invitation to be the Chief Guest.
It was an effervescent eventful day for Jammikunta residence especially youth of Jammikunta. Around eight to ten schools participated actively by volunteering their valuable services. Colleges that participated are Sravanthi, Sangamitra, Wisdom Junior College, Padmavathi, Sairam, Chanakya, Kakatiya Institutions and Goutami.
It was a prideful event as many as NCC Cadets from Zilla Parishat Boys High School took part in saluting the great patron.
Exuberant band performance by Shishumandir students entrapped he gathering. Added feature of this vibrant event was involvement of 'Police Kalabrudham' who rendered patriotic songs and saluted mother India. Attractive feature was Shishumandir children dressed as 'Baratmata', 'Shaheed Bhagat Singh', 'Jansi ki Rani Lakshmi Bai', Azad Chandra Shekar and 'Alluri Seetarama garu'.
Shishumandir Student enacted mono-acting as Veer Pandya Kattabommana led the gathering speechless.
Emphatic speech by Param Vir Chakra Sri Yogendra Singh Yadav left a long lasting impact on the gathering especially Youth.
Nevertheless, speeches by other dignitaries inspired and held the momentum of festivity.
