Nawanshahr: Shaheed Bhagat Singh's native village, Khatkar Kalan in Nawanshahr, remembered the heroic martyr on the 75th anniversary of his death.
In 1975, Bhagat Singh's ancestral house, containing his memorabilia, was converted into a museum on the occasion of his 50th birthday. The Punjab archaeological department is currently looking after it.
From his birth chart to rare photographs, those who come to visit the legend's house revere everything in the museum.
"We are proud of him for his sacrifice to the country. We feel that one should fight for freedom. If they hadn't made the sacrifices, India would never have got its freedom," said Krishna, a visitor at the museum.
